Trends in Cybersecurity with Endgame Top Expert on LIVE

Chief Social Scientist at Endgame, Andrea Little Limbago, Ph.D., says there is there is a huge workforce shortage in cybersecurity it’s affecting our national and economic security. 

“We keep seeing these hacks occur, and a lot of the times it’s that these companies are either under-resourced, so they can’t buy the tools they need, or they don’t have enough employees,” Limbago says, “It’s not just national security, it’s also economic security as well.”

Among rising geopolitical tensions, Limbago says it’s likely cyberattacks are only going to get worse.

She said it “should be a top concern” and it is going to take more people from a variety of disciplines to improve our overall security. 

While there is a current workforce shortage, Limbago says she sees the field of cybersecurity as an excellent field of employment with a lot of growth and job potential for the future.
