$10,000 Reward Offered for Information on Arson of RI Department of Administration Building

The recent riots in Providence did not only cause vandalism and looting for businesses, stores, and the Providence Place Mall, but the Rhode Island Department of Administration has been cleaning up the damage for weeks due to a fire that set off the sprinkler system causing extensive damage. Clean-up crews have been on-site for days.

Now, the Rhode Island State Police in conjunction with the Office of the State Fire Marshal and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) are seeking information pertaining to the fire. 

This incident occurred in the early morning hours of June 6, 2020.

More than 70 stores in the Providence Place Mall were damaged and more than 50 businesses and non-profits throughout the city were vandalized and looted.

The RISP is asking people if they have any information, to contact the Arson Tipline @ 401-383-7723. 

All calls are confidential and a reward of up to $10,000.00 is offered for information leading to an arrest.
