2,000 Gather in Support of Woonsocket War Memorial
Nearly 2,000 Rhode Islanders rallied to support a war memorial located outside of a Woonsocket fire station on Wednesday.
The crowd was angry that a Wisconsin-based organization has threatened legal action against the city because it objects to the monument, which recognizes those lost in the two World Wars and has a cross on it.
Supporters of the monument have made it clear they are willing to continue to battle in the court.
