New York City’s coronavirus deaths increased to 125 people.
"The number represents an increase of 26 city fatalities since Sunday night. Since Monday morning the number of coronavirus cases in the Big Apple jumped from 12,339 to 13,119, according to City Hall. Queens, as of Monday night, had the most coronavirus cases of any borough with 3,848. Brooklyn was next with 3,742; Manhattan had 2,646, the Bronx tallied 1,999 and in Staten Island, there were 877.
The New York City region has emerged as the epicenter of the pandemic — accounting for roughly 5 percent of the world’s confirmed cases," according to the New York Post.
