8 Suspects Attempted to Rob 2 People Near Brown University, and One Person Shot by BB Gun
Two members of the Brown University community were reportedly victims of an attempted robbery early Sunday morning -- by eight individuals "all wearing hooded apparel."
Earlier in the evening, a female member of the Brown community reported being shot at by individuals who drove by and fired a BB gun.

Attempted Robbery
Shortly after 3:30 AM Sunday morning, the Brown University Department of Public Safety was notified of a robbery involving two members of the Brown University community.
According to Brown Public Safety, both community members were walking on Power Street towards Thayer Street when they were confronted by "eight young males, all wearing hooded apparel."
The victims said that the group surrounded them, and one of the suspects reached his hand into his waistband and demanded the victims empty their pockets. The two community members said they complied, and ultimately nothing was taken.
The eight unknown young males were last seen running toward Thayer Street.

Shooting
At approximately 12:30 AM Sunday morning, Providence Police responded to George Street for a report of a BB gun incident.
Police were met by the victim, a female in her early 20s, who said that she was walking on Power Street with her friend near Benefit Street when a suspect in a small white sedan traveling on Power Street rolled down the passenger side window and shot the victim in the head with a BB gun.
The car then sped off towards South Main Street.
It marks the latest in a series of pellet gun incidents that continue to target the Ivy League community -- as GoLocal reported in May, "Pellet Gun Assaults Continue to Plague Providence — More Brown University Students Shot Overnight."
