The initial “Multimedia Intersection” features nine of the top Rhode Island female artists and will be displayed on the big screen facing the street -- and then links, via a QR code, to articles and feature stories.

The video will also be launched via social media — Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others.
The goal is to highlight some of Rhode Island’s creative stars and their work.
“We moved to the iconic Turks Head, in part, to create connectivity between our journalism and the community — to present Rhode Islanders in new and dynamic ways. This is the next step,” said Josh Fenton, CEO and co-founder of GoLocal.

The artists have been curated by GoLocal’s art contributor Michael Rose. They represent just some of the most interesting and creative forces in Rhode Island.
The artists first featured by GoLocal are just the beginning of a new cross-platform approach to multi-media journalism.
“This builds on our cutting edge GoLocal LIVE and The Bally’s Lounge — innovate ways to bring news, music, business, and entertainment to Rhode Islanders,” added Fenton.
