Fifty to 60 people are injured in the incidents, though it’s unclear how many are injured due to gunfire. The police have identified Robert Card, 40 as the shooter. He is an Army reservist.
At midnight on Wednesday, the Maine State Police issued the following update:

A shooting incident with multiple casualties has occurred in multiple locations in Lewiston. Police are currently searching for Robert R. Card (04/04/83) of Bowdoin. Card is considered armed and dangerous. If seen people should not approach Card or make contact with him. The shelter in place order stands in Lewiston. A vehicle of interest was located in Lisbon and we are now also asking residents in Lisbon to shelter in place as law enforcement works in that area to locate Card. We ask anyone who sees anything suspicious to call 911.
For people who have questions about loved ones a reunification center has been set up at Auburn Middle School which is located at 38 Falcon Drive in Auburn.
A suspect remains at large, the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office said in a post on Facebook:

Law enforcement in Androscoggin County are investigating two active shooter events. We are encouraging all businesses to lock down and or close while we investigate. The suspect is still at large.
Maine State Police warned in a social media post at 9:00 PM
ALERT: There is an active shooter situation in the city of Lewiston. Law enforcement is asking people to shelter in place. Please stay inside your home with the doors locked. Law enforcement is currently investigating at two locations right now. Again, please stay off the streets and allow law enforcement to diffuse the situation. If you see any suspicious activity or individuals please call 911.

Multiple people were shot in three separate incidents Wednesday night in Lewiston, according to early police reports.
Police, fire and rescue personnel descended on Sparetime Recreation on Mollison Way about 7:15 p.m. after a report of an active shooter. Shortly after, reports came in that there was another shooting at Schemengees Bar & Grille Restaurant on Lincoln Street.
Lewiston public information officer Derrick St. Laurent told the Sun Journal at about 8:15 p.m. that another shooting was reported at the Walmart Distribution Center on Alfred A Plourde Parkway.
