BREAKING: J.R. Pagliarini is Leaving City Hall
J.R. Pagliarini, a senior executive advisor for Mayor Angel Taveras, is leaving City Hall to take a job with the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation (EDC), multiple sources have confirmed.

Pagliarini has long been a political operative in the state and served as Governor Chafee’s campaign manager prior to joining the Taveras administration.

Earlier this month, Chafee appointed EDC veteran Bill Parsons as the quasi-public agency’s executive director, a position that had been vacant following the resignation of Keith Stokes.
Pagliarini’s departure is the second high profile change taking place in City Hall this week. Taveras communications director Mike Raia is leaving for a position at WGBH in Boston. Press secretary David Ortiz is taking over the top spot in the communications office.
