"I am very proud to announce today that we have reached a deal to end the shutdown and reopen the federal government," Trump said in remarks from the Rose Garden.

The Washington Post reports that Congress will immediately vote to fund the federal government and reopen the government for three weeks.
The path included signing a stopgap funding measure that would fund the government through February 15. But sources said it would not include any new funding for Trump's promised border wall, once an ironclad demand that led to the shuttering of government agencies over the past month.
RI Congressman David N. Cicilline (RI-01) issued the following statement today:
“The President and Mitch McConnell never should have shut down the government in the first place. It’s critical that they never do this again. FBI agents, TSA workers, and air traffic controllers are hardworking men and women. They should never be used as pawns by the President and the Republican Leader.”
“The American people don’t want the President’s big dumb wall. Republicans already wasted trillions of dollars on a tax cut for the wealthy and big corporations. Democrats are eager to fund tough, effective border security, but we’re not going to waste more money to keep the President from throwing another temper tantrum.”
