Children's Friend Still Seeking Gifts for 130 Families

Children's Friend is 130 families away from their goal of fulfilling 1,300 families holiday wish lists which they launched as part of the "Spirit of Giving Holiday Drive" on December 8.

Children's friend is looking for generous individuals, local businesses, religious and civic organizations to donate items such as coats, warm clothing, blankets, books, toys and gift certificates for 130 families.

"With the help of generous individuals and organizations, over 4,000 children will have a moment of pure joy when they're handed a gift from their wish list," said Children's Friend President and CEO David Caprio.

How it works.

Children's Friend matches sponsors with families that are currently receiving services are most in need. For the needs that are not met through sponsorship, Children's Friend uses holiday drive grant funds, general git donations, monetary gifts and gift cards to purchase items for a family's wish list.

Once the gifts are purchased, they are then wrapped and delivered by the family's social worker, ensuring that they are able to enjoy the holiday season.
