'Corrupt' Cops: See How Much They Are Making

Below is a chart showing how much four “corrupt” Providence city officials have received in pension payments over the last five years—despite the claims of Attorney General candidate Joe Fernandez that as city solicitor he had their pensions revoked.

Three of them are police officers implicated in a testing scandal - former Chief Urbano Prignano, Capt. John Ryan, Major Martin F. Hames. The fourth official is former Parks Department Supervisor Kathleen Parsons, who admitted to embezzling $26,981 from the city. The city announced it would go after the pensions of the police officers back in 2005 and Parsons was suspended without pay since 2003. But today, all four continue to collect their pensions.
