Republican Cranston Mayor Kenneth Hopkins is blasting the “liberal judge” for allowing one of the men arrested for the shooting at Garden City on Thursday to be released on bail.

District Court Judge Stephen Isherwood, the judge overseeing the hearing of Andres Pizarro, allowed $100,000 surety bond.

Isherwood was appointed to the court in 2010 by then-Republican Governor Don Carcieri.

They are released already by a liberal judge. Yes, RELEASED already. What’s wrong with this picture. How do law abiding citizens get protected?"
