Cranston Police Release Photo of Suspect in Citizens Bank Robbery

Cranston police released this suspect photo following the June 4 robbery.
The Cranston Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that took place today, Thursday, June 4, and have released a photo of the suspect.

According to Cranston Police:

"At 12:01 PM, at the Citizens Bank branch located at 1850 Plainfield Pike, the lone suspect entered the bank and presented a note to the teller demanding cash. No weapon was observed or shown and no one was injured. The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash through a side exit and travelled on foot in a northerly direction toward the intersection of Plainfield Pike and Route 295.

The suspect was described as a white male wearing an all grey sweat suit. He had a surgical style facemask covering his face. He was also wearing a black “Champion” ballcap and white sneakers with black lacing. He is approximately 5’ 9” in height. He appeared to have a stocky build; although the clothing he was wearing was described as baggy.

The robbery is currently being investigated by the Cranston Police Department Detective Division Criminal Investigations Unit.
