Cranston Tax Preparers Sentenced for Stealing Identities of Minors

Tashia Bodden was sentenced to 36 months in federal prison followed by 2 years supervised release; Evelyn Nunez was sentenced on March 18 to 30 months in federal prison to be followed by 2 years supervised release.
The defendants were also ordered to pay restitution to the IRS in the amount of $1,402,560.

They both pleaded guilty on December 9 on one count of conspiracy to defraud the government and one count of aggravated identity theft.
The cases were prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Lee H. Vilker.
