Dark Side Rascal Gang Member Sentenced to 10 Years at ACI on Gun Charges

A Cranston gang member has been sentenced to ten years at the ACI on gun charges, announced Attorney General Peter Neronha’s office on Wednesday.

Suliva Hong, 27, a member of the Dark Side Rascal Gang, pleaded guilty on October 25 to one count of possession of a pistol without a license and one count of possession of a firearm after being convicted of a crime of violence. 

Providence Superior Court Justice Susan McGuirl sentenced Hong to 20 years with ten years to serve at the ACI and the rest suspended with probation.

Guilty Plea

According to the Attorney General’s office, had the case gone to trial, the State was prepared to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that on September 19, 2015, Hong was pulled over by Providence Police while in possession of a 9mm Sig Sauer pistol.

Hong was also known to law enforcement as a member of the Dark Side Rascal Gang.
