The East Providence Police Department, who was looking for 66-year-old Alvin Sweeney, has announced he has been found.

"Mr. Sweeney has been located and is currently being treated at a local hospital. Thank you for the public's assistance!" said EP PD on Sunday.

According to police, Sweeney suffers from various medical conditions and has not taken his medications in recent days.

Police say he was last seen by family on Thursday at approximately 3:00 pm. Sweeney usually walks in the Kent Heights/Warren Avenue area.

Due to his lack of medication and medical conditions, Sweeney may be confused and in need of medical attention if located.

Please notify the East Providence Police Department (401-435-7600) immediately if you have seen Sweeney or know his whereabouts.

Sweeney is described as a black male, 5'9", 140 lbs, brown eyes, and gray/black hair.
