Five Rhode Island Colleges Ranked on Forbes’ National List

In Forbes’ “America’s Best Colleges 2010,” Brown University was ranked #45, behind every other Ivy League school except for Cornell University. Providence College was the second best ranked RI school, coming in at #199. University of Rhode Island, Bryant and Roger Williams came far behind, ranked at #477, #503 and #591 respectively.

The Forbes’ ranking is based on ten weighted factors. Here are the percentages: Student Satisfaction (27.5 %), Postgraduate Success (30%), Student Debt (17.5%), Four-year Graduation Rate (17.5%), Competitive Awards (7.5%), Student Evaluations from Ratemyprofessors.com (17.5%), Freshman-to-Sophomore Retention Rates (5%), Student Evaluations from MyPlan.com (5%), Alumni in Forbes/CCAP Corporate Officers List (5%), and the Listing of Alumni in Who’s Who in America (10%).
