Now, police have also tied the suspect -- a RIPTA bus driver -- to a crime reported back in 2020.
"He is currently on paid administrative leave pending further investigation," RIPTA spokesperson Cristy Raposa confirmed, after GoLocalProv broke the story on Tuesday.

About Incidents
Police say that at approximately 11:45 PM on Sunday night, a landlord on Williams Street in the Fox Point section of Providence reported that he had video of an intruder in his yard.
According to the landlord, the suspect could be seen on video peering into a first-floor bathroom window.
The tenant — a female — told police she had heard noises coming from outside the window as well as her back door.
Then in a separate incident at 12:30 AM Monday morning, police say they were contacted by a male who had taken his dog for a walk, who said he was notified on his phone that his security camera detected activity at his home on Wickenden Street.
The man said the video footage showed the suspect climbing on top of a plastic container to look inside a first-floor window of the house.
Apprehending Suspect
Following the reports, police said they were on the lookout for a suspect matching the descriptions in the area.
According to police, a short time later they encountered a man who matched the "Peeping Tom" description on Arnold Street.
He was identified as Djefte Paul, age 33. He told police he was a RIPTA bus driver and had been “jogging” in the area.
After being let go at the scene, police reviewed the security videos at the homes and issued a warrant for his arrest.
Paul was arrested on two counts of disorderly conduct on Monday.
In addition, police say that after running Paul’s fingerprints, they matched a report from Hope Street in February 2020 in which a tenant told police someone had tried to come in through her first-floor window.
He is now facing charges for that incident as well.
