"The first significant snowfall of the season is on the way. Low pressure will intensify off the mid-Atlantic coast overnight and early tomorrow bringing snow that will become heavy at times through the morning commute," said Ghiorse.

He adds:

Fortunately (or unfortunately if you're a snow lover!) the storm will be a fast mover with snow beginning during the wee morning hours, likely heaviest during commuter hours, then winding down near midday and ending shortly thereafter.

Total accumulation is likely in the 4-8 inch range, some higher amounts here and there if it slows its exit.
