Hasbro Recalls Super Soakers for Violation of Federal Lead Content Ban; Sold Exclusively at Target

Hasbro is voluntarily recalling two models of “Super Soakers” that are sold only at Target. The products violated federal lead standards.

The RI-based toy company has filed the recall with the Consumer Product Safety Council.

Super Soaker XP 20 and Super Soaker XP 30

Hazard:

The decorative sticker on the water tank of the water blaster toys contain levels of lead in the ink that exceed the federal lead content ban.  Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
