Helen was a proud Irish woman known for her love of dancing. Every Saturday night, she could be found at the VFW, dancing with her sister Ronnie and friends. Her Irish heritage was a significant part of her life, with St. Patrick’s Day being a highlight where she would enthusiastically enjoy a pint of Guinness, always dressed in green for the celebrations at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet.

A proud graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Pawtucket, Helen carried the values from her education throughout her life. She worked in various roles, including a position at the Providence Journal in her younger years. Above all, Helen was a devoted mother who found joy in caring for her children and later, her grandchildren. She was known for her sweet nature, positive attitude, and engaging conversation. Her vibrant spirit and love for Irish music and dancing left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

In her later years, Helen found a welcoming home at Brentwood Nursing Home where she was affectionately cared for by the dedicated staff and lovingly dubbed the ‘Irish Queen.'  Helen enjoyed the many activities including playing trivia, bingo, and volleyball.  The family is deeply grateful to the staff for their extraordinary care and kindness providing Helen with comfort and dignity.

Helen's legacy of love, kindness, and strength will be remembered and celebrated. Her life was rich with meaning, touching the hearts of all who knew her. Her memory will continue to inspire and be cherished forever.
