Highest Ranked RI Schools by RI Dept. of Education

30 Rhode Island Schools were given the highest possible classification in the Rhode Island Department of Education's 2014 report.

The 277 schools are classified into 6 groups- with "Commended" being the highest classification and "Priority" being the lowest.  The 30 schools given the "Commended" classification are the elite performing schools across nearly two dozen districts.

“I am glad that we have been able to honor schools from the majority of our school districts as 2014 Commended Schools, and I am particularly pleased that 18 high schools are among our commended schools this year,” said Deborah A. Gist, Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education.
