A man walked into Providence Business News’ offices Thursday, Aug. 25, and stole credit cards and a driver’s license from an employee’s work station.

In a closed-circuit video feed...the man is seen exiting the elevator at PBN’s 400 Westminster St. offices in Providence, scanning the corridor, noting that the employee was not in the office, then proceeding into the unlocked office. Seconds later, the man is seen exiting with a wallet in hand and calling the elevator. With the elevator door still open, the man is seen examining the contents of the wallet.

PBN added that Providence Police spokeswoman Lindsay Lague said that the department was investigating the case and that anyone with information related to the robbery should call the police at (401) 272-3121.
