NEW: Man Arrested and Charged with Murder in Exeter Woman’s Death

The Rhode Island State Police announced an arrest in the death of an Exeter woman found at 561 South County Trail, Exeter, Rhode Island. 

Ramsundar Ramkalawan, age 60, of 561 South County Trail, Exeter was arrested and charged with Murder.

According to the State Police, on Monday at approximately 10:10 AM, the Rhode Island State Police received a 911 call of an unresponsive female at the apartment located at 561 South County Trail in Exeter. Troopers and Exeter Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on scene and determined the female was deceased and the death was deemed suspicious.

The Rhode Island State Police Detective Bureau responded and investigated. 

The victim is identified as Donna MacDonald, age 65, of 561 South County Trail, Exeter, RI.

Ramkalawan was held overnight at State Police Headquarters and will be arraigned later this morning at the Washington County Courthouse, located at 4800 Tower Hill Road, Wakefield, RI.
