UPDATED: Man Dies Following Domestic Assault in Providence; Juvenile Stabbed at Grocery Store

A man has died following a domestic assault in Providence, GoLocal has learned.
Providence police are also reporting multiple stabbings in the city over the weekend, including a teenage victim who was stabbed by a group of juveniles while grocery shopping.

Death Following Domestic Assault
On Sunday morning shortly before 2 AM, police responded to Sumter Street in Elmwood for a report of a disturbance.
According to police, officers had been sent to the location the day before for a report of domestic assault.
When police arrived, they said they encountered a man lying on the ground covered in blood.
Police said they met with the female victim, who said the male suspect — who had an outstanding warrant from the day before — had been trying to gain entry to her house.
The victim said the man was screaming obscenities at her; she told him repeatedly to leave.
According to police, the victim said the man then tried to gain entry by smashing a door window, at which time he severely cut himself.
The male suspect was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was under prisoner watch due to domestic assault charges.
He was pronounced dead Sunday night.
Police are not releasing any additional details at this time
Family Dollar Store Stabbing
Police responded to the Family Dollar store at 250 Cranston Street shortly after 7 PM on Sunday for a report of a disturbance.
According to police, they met with a woman who said she had been grocery shopping with her children and one of their friends — all juveniles — when a group of juvenile boys approached them.
The woman told police the group got into a fight with her children’s friend — and stabbed him in the leg.
The juvenile was transported to Hasbro Children's Hospital.
Detectives are currently investigating.
Olneyville Stabbing
Shortly after 8 PM on Sunday, police responded to a report of a stabbing on Capron Street in Olneyville.
Police noted that there was a trail of blood outside the residence leading into an apartment.
According to police, the victim — a male in his 20s — was uncooperative and hostile, saying he cut his hand himself; a witness said the victim had been stabbed while standing outside, after an argument with an unknown male suspect.
The victim refused treatment, police noted that all parties involved were uncooperative.
Detectives are currently investigating.
