Man Drowns in Cranston Pool, According to Police

Cranston Police are reporting that Saturday afternoon they found a man in a pool in Cranston who was unresponsive.

Police have not released the name of the individual.

According to Major Todd Patalano of the Cranston Police Department:

Today, at approximately 1724 hrs, the Cranston Police responded to an emergency call at 13 Linden Road for a possible drowning in a residential swimming pool in the rear of the yard.

Cranston Police and Fire personnel immediately arrived on the scene and located an adult male floating face down in the swimming pool. Emergency personnel immediately jumped into the pool, removed the adult male, and began performing CPR. 

They continued life-saving measures while transporting the victim to RI Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased at 1804 hrs. At this time the Cranston Police Detective Division and Crime Scene Investigators are processing the scene as we investigate the circumstances and cause of this tragic death.
