Man in Middle of Lawsuit Involving Providence Councilman Resigns as Public Works Director

Last week, lawyers for Councilman Michael Correia issued subpoenas to a number of Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza’s top administrators relating to an ongoing alleged ethics violation, a civil lawsuit, and countersuit involving Providence Councilman Michael Correia and Deputy DPW Director Michael McKenna.
Chief-of-Staff Nicole Pollock, Director of Operations Sabrina Solares-Hand, Public Works Director Antonio Morabito as well as Municipal Integrity Officer Rosa Arias-Perry were all issued subpoenas last week.

The subpoenas involve an ongoing civil complaint by McKenna Correia’s counter-complaint against McKenna.
Artin Coloian, one of Correia's attorneys, told GoLocal last week that the subpoenas were issued because "We are simply trying to get at the truth."
"It is my understanding that he did resign, citing family obligations," said Crowell.
