Escalator Incident
According to police, an officer on detail was notified at approximately 5 PM on Saturday that several juveniles had been detained and police were called to the mall security office.
The officer reported being told by mall security that in one incident, a fourteen-year-old girl reportedly punched another girl in the face near the Metro PCS store.
The fourteen-year-old girl was detained — and given a one-year no-trespass order at the mall. The officer “noted the juvenile was smiling and admitted she struck the other girl in the face.”
The second incident occurred on the third-floor escalators after a beverage was reportedly thrown.

14-Year-Old Threatened Security Officer — Banned for 3 Years
Shortly after 8 PM, a Providence police office on detail said he got a report that a juvenile had just displayed what appeared to be a gun to mall security as a group of juveniles was being escorted off the property.
The officer noted that there had been numerous disturbances involving juveniles throughout the mall as well as “malicious mischief” by large groups of juveniles in the third-floor bathroom and other areas in the mall.
According to the police officer, security officers said as they were escorting the juveniles off the property, they were confronted by the juvenile who appeared to be reaching for a bulging object under his coat — and asked a security officer “what time he was leaving work.”
After security and police were alerted, the reporting officer was reportedly able to locate the juvenile in the group as they were heading to Kennedy Plaza, and searched him.
The officer reported finding a water bottle in the juvenile’s coat; he was apprehended for disorderly conduct and threats against a security officer.
The juvenile was banned for three years from mall property.
