Multiple PC Students Hospitalized — Treated for Drug Overdoses

GoLocal has learned that multiple Providence College students were taken to the hospital after a drug-related incident.

 

Providence Police in a statement said, Overnight, Providence police officers and fire department units responded to 44 Liege Street for a report of multiple unresponsive individuals. Upon arrival, fire personnel initially dispatched for a double overdose found four individuals on the front lawn and subsequently treated three additional patients brought out of the residence, for a total of seven.”

“Multiple resources responded to administer Narcan and provide advanced life support. All seven individuals were transported to area hospitals and are reported to be conscious and alert. Detectives, BCI, and campus safety officials responded, and the incident remains under investigation,” added Providence Police.

 

City Councilor Shelly Peterson, who represents the Providence College area (Ward 14), told GoLocal, “My thoughts remain with the students affected. My focus is on their health, their recovery, and ensuring the entire community feels supported and safe as we learn more. We remain committed to providing support where necessary.”
