According to police, the salon owner said that there had been a disturbance inside the business earlier that day, when an unknown female customer became irate and started insulting a salon technician over her service.

The victim — an Asian female in her 30s — told the customer to leave; the suspect then reportedly struck the victim on the head with her fist before fleeing the salon.

The owner told police she then received a call from a female relative of the customer in the attack, who accused the salon worker of “jumping” her daughter and that she was going to “come down there right now.”

Police report that the owner said she felt threatened for her safety over the incident.

Detectives are currently reviewing evidence and investigating.
