The National Weather Service is forecasting drenching rain to hit Rhode Island starting Saturday and running into Monday.

Rain is likely, then rain and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 pm. Patchy fog after 1 pm. High near 61. Northeast wind 7 to 13 mph. The chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three-quarters of an inch possible.

 

Saturday Night

Rain is likely, and possibly a thunderstorm before 5 am, then a chance of rain. Patchy fog. Otherwise, it is cloudy, with a low of around 56. Northeast wind 10 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

 

Sunday

Rain is likely, mainly after 3 pm. Cloudy, with a high near 63. Northeast wind around 14 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch possible.

Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low of around 56. Northeast wind around 9 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60%.
