Netflix Releases Trailer for New Aaron Hernandez Documentary “Killer Inside”

The series on the former New England Patriots tight end, “Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez,” debuts on Netflix on January 15.

Via interviews with friends, players and insiders, the docuseries examines how Hernandez went from an NFL star to a convicted killer.
“From the studio that brought you Making a Murderer and Evil Genius, witness the rise and fall of the infamous athlete Aaron Hernandez,” states the trailer. “How can someone who had everything throw it all away?”
Hernandez' Convictions, Acquittals, and Death
In April 2017, Massachusetts prison officials reported that Hernandez committed suicide in his cell at Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Massachusetts, by hanging himself.
He was acquitted in Suffolk Superior Court on charges of killing Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado in a drive by shooting in the South End of Boston on July 16, 2012.
Hernandez was also acquitted of witness intimidation for shooting prosecution witness Alexander Bradley in 2013 in Florida.
He was convicted of having illegal possession of a firearm.
Hernandez is serving a life sentence for the murder of Odin Lloyd, which he was found guilty of in April of 2015.
