NEW: Cicilline to Host Housing Resources Fair Saturday

U.S. Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI) announced this week that he will hold a Housing Resource Fair for constituents this Saturday at East Providence High School.

“The housing crisis has taken a real toll on so many Rhode Island families and often has impacted entire neighborhoods in our state,” said Cicilline. “A safe, healthy, and affordable place to live is critical to strong families and healthy communities. Housing security is one of the most important issues facing us right now and without solving our state’s housing crisis we will not see a full economic recovery in Rhode Island.”

The Housing Resource Fair will take place Saturday, February 25th, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at East Providence High School, 2000 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, RI. Rhode Islanders attending the Housing Resource Fair will have the opportunity to learn about resources and assistance available for those struggling with housing issues, particularly those facing foreclosure proceedings or the threat of foreclosure, individuals having difficulty paying a mortgage or rent, information regarding resources for housing improvements, weatherization programs, and other agencies that provide housing assistance. Representatives from leading banks, federal agencies, and non-profit organizations will participate.
