NEW: Congressional Conversation on Advanced Manufacturing Set for Tomorrow

U.S. Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI) will join Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI), Congressman John Larson (D-CT), and Congressman Joe Courtney (D-CT), as well as an assortment of New England small business owners and public officials, for a Congressional Conversation on Advanced Manufacturing tomorrow August 7th, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Rhode Island School of Design, 224 Benefit Street in Providence.

Cicilline, who has introduced the Make it in America Block Grant Program Act in the House, has focused much of his work in Congress on efforts to revitalize American manufacturing. Larson, who is serving his seventh term in Congress, chairs the House Democratic Caucus, making him the fourth-ranking Democrat in the House of Representatives.

The Congressional Conversation on Advanced Manufacturing is being hosted by the New England Council – a non-partisan alliance of public and private organizations that works to promotes economic growth in New England. The Conversation will feature three discussion panels, along with a keynote address delivered by Michael Molnar, who serves as the Chief Manufacturing Officer of the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the Director of the Interagency National Program Office for Advanced Manufacturing.
