NEW: Coventry Fire Chair's ISIS Comments Go National

Coventry Fire Chair District Chairman Fred Gralinski's comments comparing the American flag being flown behind fire trucks to ISIS terrorists continues to pick up steam. 

The statement recently made by Gralinski was picked up by Fox News, under the post "Outrageous - RI Official: Flying Old Glory from Trucks Makes Firefighters Look Like ISIS."

Fox News reported of Gralinksi's comments:

A city official in Rhode Island said the American flags waving from the back of fire trucks look ridiculous -- and went as far to compare them to those flags that fly off the back of ISIS trucks, writing, quote, 'Like Isis in Syria going to take over a city, I don't think they need that big flag on the back of the [fire] truck...that's not American to me, those are a bunch of terrorists."

NBC 10 reported that following the comments Gralinski apologized; Fox News did not have that in their piece.
