NEW: Daniel Martin Named Warden at Wyatt Detention Facility

Warden Daniel Martin
The Central Falls Detention Facility Corporation has selected Daniel Martin as the facility's new full-time Warden. The selection was made after conducting an extensive search using input from stakeholders, corrections officers and a consultant retained by bond holders.

“I am humbled by this appointment and excited about moving the Donald W. Wyatt Detention Facility forward. The Wyatt has been through a difficult period, but we have emerged from receivership and are ready to grow.  I look forward to working with the board, staff, our corrections officers, the City of Central Falls and our federal agency partners to make the Wyatt a national model facility," said Martin.

Warden Martin's salary will be $110,000 with performance bonus options, which are tied to increasing average daily population and the completion of facility audits.

“We are very pleased that after conducting an extensive search, we found the best candidate for Warden right here at Wyatt. In his past 18 months serving at Wyatt as a Major and Interim Warden, Dan Martin has won the trust and respect of corrections officers, staff and the wider community.  We believe Warden Martin built that trust based on his personal integrity, willingness to lead by example and his unending commitment to excellence in the care, custody and control of our inmate population.  Put simply, Warden Martin is the right person to guide the Wyatt Detention Facility forward," said Luke Gallant, Chairman of the Central Falls Detention Facility Corporation board.
