NEW: Former RIGOP Executive Director Launches Consulting Firm

Patrick Sweeney, the former executive director of the Rhode Island Republican Party, has opened up a political consulting firm.

The firm, Targeted Strategies, will likely work with Republican General Assembly candidates this year. Sweeney said it will be a full service firm specializing in strategic communications, media relations, crisis management, general consulting, fundraising, polling and analysis, and government affairs and lobbying. .

“In this tough economy, it is imperative that corporations and candidates have the necessary tools at their disposal to be successful in their respective market. We hope to provide strategic planning and advice to keep Rhode Island businesses open and Rhode Islanders employed," Sweeney said. "The more successful Rhode Island companies are, the more successful Rhode Island is.”
