Heatwave Possible in RI Starting Wednesday - Heat Index Could Top 100 Degrees

The National Weather Service is warning heat index levels could top 100 degrees for parts of Rhode Island and southern New England later this week. 

According to NWS -- which issued the hazardous weather outlook on Sunday -- the heatwave is possible starting Wednesday and lasting through Friday.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

A heatwave is possible Wednesday through Friday of next week. This may result in heat indices of 95-100+ degrees each afternoon. Heat Advisories may eventually be needed for much of the region.
