NEW: Hinckley Raises $325k in 3rd Quarter
Republican Senate candidate Barry Hinckley raised approximately $325,000 during the third quarter, the campaign announced today.

“Our team is firing on all cylinders. We are hitting the fundraising hard and we are hitting the streets hard,” Hinckley said. “The financial support is a testament to Rhode Islanders responding to message of more jobs and less politics. Career politicians like Sheldon Whitehouse have failed to lead and now Rhode Island is suffering. He spent his term overspending, over-regulating, and over-taxing Rhode Islanders and the American people. It should be no surprise that unemployment in our Ocean State continues to hover around 11% - one of the worst jobless rates in the country.”
Hinckley has now raised nearly $1 million over the last nine months, but he still trails incumbent Senator Sheldon Whitehouse in the fundraising department and in the polls. Whitehouse had $2.8 million cash on hand as of the end of June and a Brown University poll released today had him up 29 points over Hinckley.

“It is time to end the destructive cycle of cronyism, bailouts, and big government that have brought us to this point,” Hinckley said. “Rhode Island needs to send a clear message to the career politicians that Rhode Island will not settle for status quo. Rhode Island needs fresh faces, new ideas, and proven entrepreneurs to lead us out of this mess. I can, and will, be that leader.”
