NEW: Hinckley Rips Dems for Failing to Pass Budget
Barry Hinckley’s Senate campaign expressed its disappointment today in the “partisan charades” that has led the Senate to not pass a budget in more than 1,100 days.

Since the last budge passed, the federal government has spent $10.6 trillion, and the federal debt has skyrocketed by $5 trillion, the campaign said.

It has become clear that many politicians, Sheldon Whitehouse included, simply don’t think that deficits matter,” said Hinckley. “This is yet another sign of how out-of-touch our career politicians are. If Sheldon Whitehouse doesn’t think living within a budget is important, maybe he should tell that to our children, who will be forced to live with higher taxes and reduced services thanks to his irresponsibility. He should tell that to our Seniors, who find that their Social Security checks buy less and less each month. And he should tell Rhode Islanders struggling to find work in an economy overburdened by public debt.”
