NEW: MA State Police Investigating Woman's Death - Hit By MBTA Train

Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office are investigating a woman's death.

She was struck and killed by a commuter rail train in Leominster Monday morning, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. 

​At 11:16 a.m., a 20-year-old woman was struck by the train nearly a mile before the North Leominster MBTA station.

She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

​The name of the deceased will not be released at this time pending family notifications.

​Detectives were assisted at the scene by State Police Crime Scene Services and Leominster Police. The investigation is ongoing.
