A man was shot multiple times in Providence on Thursday.

According to police, the incident occurred shortly after 2 PM in the area of Pembroke Avenue and Chad Brown Street.

Police say the victim was taken to Roger Williams Hospital before being transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

The victim is currently in critical condition.
