Man Wanted by Providence Police in Federal Hill Murder Apprehended Trying to Flee to Mexico

A man wanted on a murder charge by Providence Police has been apprehended — in California. 

Michael Domenech was wanted in connection to the murder of Cory Vargas.

The homicide occurred on September 24 on Swiss Street in Providence, a block from Atwells Avenue

According to police, Domenech was apprehended by border patrol in San Diego. 

Authorities say Domenech was attempting to flee the country.
