NEW: Pleau to be Turned Over to Feds Wednesday

Accused murderer Jason Pleau will be turned over to the feds Wednesday afternoon, according to writ issued by District Court Judge William E. Smith.

Pleau is charged with killing a gas station employee in Woonsocket nearly two years ago.

Governor Chafee has opposed turning Pleau over to the federal government, citing his stance against the death penalty.
