Providence Police Identify Latest Homicide Victim

Providence police have identified the victim of the city's latest homicide.

On Tuesday, police announced that the victim involved in the homicide that occurred on May 14, 2023 has been identified as Angel Rodriguez, age 44.

As GoLocal previously reported, according to Providence Police Detectives Major David Lapatin, the incident occurred shortly before 11 PM Sunday night, on the 900 block of Manton Avenue.

It is the city’s fifth homicide of the year. 

Lapatin said that the shooting occurred following a family party.
