Embattled State Rep. Leo Medina this morning was arrested on eight misdemeanor counts of unauthorized practice of law.

Medina is accused of acting as a lawyer without a license and taking money for services he never actually delivered.

Medina is still facing felony charges after allegedly stealing nearly $30,000 from a friend’s daughter’s life insurance policy.

The first-term Rep. is running for re-election, but faces a Democratic primary against former Rep. Joseph Almeida.
