RI International Airport Lifts Lockdown After "No Credible Security Threat" Found

Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport was placed on lockdown Friday morning -- and lifted the lockdown shortly after noon. 

The airport announced the following shortly after 11:30 AM:

Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport is currently in lockdown as law enforcement addresses a potential security threat.

Travelers are asked to delay arrivals at the airport at this time. More information will be provided when available.

At 12:30 PM, an airport spokesperson provide the following to GoLocal. 

"Law enforcement has determined there is no credible security threat at R.I. T.F. Green International Airport.

RIAC has lifted the precautionary airport lockdown. Travelers are asked to check with their airlines regarding potential delays."
