NEW: RI Reports 18 New Coronavirus Fatalities, 189 New Cases — Watch 1 PM Briefing HERE

The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) on Thursday announced 18 new COVID-19 fatalities for 556 in total.

The number of deaths has fluctuated over the past 3 days, from 26 on Tuesday, to 6 on Wednesday, to Thursday’s 18.

RIDOH recorded 189 new positive cases, for a total of 13,571.

Currently, there are 254 COVID-related hospitalizations, with 56 in the ICU and 41 on ventilators. 

Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo and officials will be live at the Vets Auditorium for the weekday press briefing.
