NEW: RI Reports 41 New Coronavirus Cases — Watch Weds. 1 PM Press Briefing LIVE

Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo will be LIVE at 1 PM Wednesday for her first coronavirus briefing in a week, as the Rhode Island Department of Health reported 41 new cases in the past day.

There were 2 new COVID-19 related fatalities reported, for a total of 971 as of July 8.

There have now been 17,204 confirmed cases in Rhode Island, with 247,012 tests coming back negative. 

There are currently 56 hospitalizations, with 5 in the ICU and 5 on ventilators.
