NEW: RI Reports 70 New Coronavirus Infections, 2 More Fatalities — and 2 New Compliance Orders

The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 70 additional cases of COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the state’s total to 20,335.

The three day average of new cases is 88. 

There were 2 additional coronavirus-related death, bringing the state’s total to 1,021.

There are 79 people hospitalized, with 8 in the ICU and 3 on ventilators.

The three day average of people hospitalized is at 84. 

The state reported testing 3,185 individuals on Thursday.

Compliance Orders

The state issued two additional compliance orders, after announcing 5 new orders midweek.

The latest orders for businesses not in compliance with state coronavirus regulations were issued to China Star III in Newport and John’s Meat Market in Providence.
